Not sure what this is all about? Vidli is hiring a social media expert. We’re not huge fans of resumes, so we created a competition to determine who can deliver results and deserves the interview. To learn more check out the job posting.
And the Awards Go To….
Most Fabulous Dude – TJ T.
Background Lowdown
When TJ applied he said he should be hired on the merits of this picture alone. He also said he would “see us at the interview” after we sent him the custom link. That is a badass thing to say in an email.
Why He Wins the Award
We like confidence. We like the color green. And we like white suits.
Status: Conversion Rate = 10% | Total Sign-Ups = 2
Most Fabulous Babe – Jen F.
Background Lowdown
Jen operates a blog about nerds. She is a model. She endorses companies that support effective forms of birth control.
Why She Wins the Award
Short skirts, code and SEO…geek heaven.
Status: Conversion Rate = 12.5% | Total Sign-Ups = 4
Official “Douchnozzle” Award – Kevin

Background Lowdown
At DeFrag @bfeld and @fredwilson had a discussion about Douchnozzles. We were curious of the exact definition so we looked it up. Once we figured out what a Douchnozzle is we went searching for a human one. But then one day…. a Douchnozzle found us…
Why He Wins the Award
Kevin posted about the social media competition on his blog. He thinks the job competition is “exploitation” and “immoral.” He told us he “wouldn’t get out of bed” for the money we’re going to pay this position. He posted a distorted Vidli logo (looks terrible), ripped on us before we have even launched (real cool) and created a fancy URL to show us his seo skills (http://socialmediaanswers.com/why-vidli-sucks). Take a bow, sir…the day is yours.
Status: Conversion Rate = 0% | Total Sign-Ups = 0
Best Use of Social Media – Boldly Going
Background Lowdown
Comcast is buying NBC. Hulu is kind of a big deal.
Why He Wins the Award
James K. did a great job “joining the conversation” with this blog post. The article is relevant and converts someone genuinely interested in Vidli and the video industry (ie target audience/customer). Writing a quality blog post takes time and effort. James did it twice.
On a side note – the blog article made one of the Vidli Co-Founders slightly wet himself when he read his Google Alerts. Props.
Status: Conversion Rate = 4.7% | Total Sign-Ups = 2
Coolest Use of Social Media – Daniel on Facebook
Background Lowdown
Facebook is an underground website used by trolls and hermits.
Why He Wins the Award
The stats speak for themselves. Nice work Daniel!
Stats: Conversion Rate = 19.3% | Total Sign-Ups = 85
